On the ministerial salary raise

I don't want to write too much, lest I went into a frenzy and start spouting vulgarities and rubbish. It's perfectly normal, I can assure you, to be angry about it, but let's not get too emotional, "else we just risk being dismissed by the MIWs and the PAPanons as nothing more than an irrational mob hiding behind our green eyed jealousy, anectdotal evidences and anonymous online persona". Find it out for yourself in those excellent articles logically written by the S'pore bloggers.

An overview of the garmen's and the blogosphere's stands:

Are our ministers worth as much if they were to jump ship to the private sector? by Mr Wang.

If they are, as Molly Meek says, let's liberate them from their chains.

I love this article by Mr Wang. All you can get from the price of One Lee Hsien Loong.

Despite his anger, Insanepoly here managed to sum up his dissent in a logical manner. Kudos to you for speaking out our sentiments!

Alex Au examine the benchmarks, with alarming conclusions.

Singapore is a country you say? No no, you are mistaken, it's a corporation.

How do you know that you are a talented minister? Molly Meek will tell you.

Xenoboy looks at political talents in Three Kingdoms, and he says at the end: "Three Kingdoms is a story that makes sense even if it is fictional. We are living in a political moment now that makes no sense even if it is reality."

Again, Xenoboy explores whether politicians are representing the citizens, or are they representing the party...

Who made Singapore the way it is? of coz it's PAP, as pointed out by Lucky Tan. Why didn't we realise it earlier, then we will not have all the debates on their pay raise. They deserved it!

A worried or worrying garmen? by Molly Meek.

Even the Americans are impressed!! By Aaron.

Hey, it's the Mr Brown show!! Come on in as their intrepid reporter goes around interviewing the people.

Here's NCMP Sylvia Lim's views on the salary raise. Very representative of the people, but is PAP even listening to her?
