A happening birthday year...

My birthday month just passed, and there's a lot to remember...

My friends whom I've known when I work in DHL held a surprise birthday party for me on 26 July, and I was very touched. The backpack they have given to me as a present, I have now regularly used it. And the birthday card scribbled with their heartfelt messages? It's now sitting on top on of my CPU. The pictures I have already published in a post beforehand. A pic tells a thousand words.

The next day, I went for karaoke with Adele and her group of friends. Over there, instead of one, I receive TWO presents, courtesy of them together with my friends at PSB. Thanks for the sling bag and belt, it was exactly what I wanted. (Which was of course, since Adele asked me beforehand, HAHA). After i make the above comment, she replied that she didn't got the metal stylus pen (NDS) that I wanted. Luckily she didn't follow all my wishes, since there's also the anime PVC figure which I mentioned to her. Good gracious she didn't go WAY out of her way to get that.

The day after, I drag Adele with me to sunshine plaza to look at toys. It was also over there where I bought the cup with the "Laughing Man" logo for Zhiye. (Go watch Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex if you don't know what I'm talking about...) While I was there, I search for my beloved Fate Testarrosa figure, but it was ultimately not imported. However, I have to hold my greed as I saw three figures that I want. A Saber (Fate/Stay night) figure in her armour, the GSC version of Nanoha and a sitting Aina (MS Gundam 08 MS Team). The Saber was quite ex at a price of $66, while Nanoha is even worse with a three-digit figure. Only Aina was reasonably priced, but I have to refrain myself from overspending.

We tried the wanton mee there, which I have eaten with Freddy before, which he was positive that it was the best wanton mee he had ever eaten. To my surprise, Adele was not as impressed as Fred, but nonetheless she says that it's a little above par than standard fare. Oh well...

On my actual birthday, I met the rest of the PSB guys at Shangri-La Hotel for their high tea buffet. I was VERY late as I overslept, and I feel really sorry for that. Not sure whether i shown it though, since I was still a bit sleepy. They have all sorts of tea over there, and I was overjoyed. However, they served in pots and so I was only able to sample one of the teas... Sad. The tea I drank was Lapsang Souchong, which I together with Fred and Zhiye were curious about when we worked at Teaspa where one of the customers blurted it out. Well, to the two of you, it was a black tea with a medium smoked woody scent. Nothing else. I enjoyed it, but I couldn't finished the pot, since it was supposed to be for at least 4 people. Haiz...

After the buffet, we went to orchard and I searched for Fred's present. While hanging around at HMV, I looked through the japanese CD section, and I was freakingly surprised when I saw a certain CD. It was the latest album, Kaleidoscope, by Yonekura Chihiro, my favourite artist for all these years. Since she's only famous in the anime song crowd, it was a surprise her CD got into Singapore. Guess somebody pre-ordered it and it was one of the excess. I wanted to buy it, but it cost a whopping S$70 bucks. Haiz.. then I remember when Zhiye went to Japan to help me buy the 4th album, Olympia, of JAM Project, it cost around S$50. It was really a great pity.. I can only keep sighing...

And yesterday, Phil, Zhiye, Fred and Alvin came to my house for a very late birthday celebration. Phil and I were busy making japanese curry, and boy was it taxing, esp for Phil since he's down with flu... We started work at 6.30pm and it wasn't until near to 10 before we can get everything out... Making food is not really an easy task... However, it was really fun working with Phil, although I have practically zero knowledge of cooking, and he has to give out clear instructions for me to follow, lest I screwed up. In the end, I did screwed up by overheating a porcelain bowl, cracking it.. and turning the fire to high instead of medium, which result in boiling the strawberry puree... Haiz...

The funniest part is probably when Phil was wrapping Fred's present in my room, and Fred came in. I was dumbstrucked, so Phil cooked up a reason saying he was helping me wrap a present I plan to give a girl. Zhiye had, I think, already guessed who's the present for. So when later on I give the present to him, I saw the most stunned Freddy I have seen in my whole life. HAHAHA. Should have taken the golden picture. Zhiye was also stunned when I throw him his present. Guess he didn't expect a preent. C'mon guys, how can I forgot about your presents? Well, It's forgivable since we never ever bother in the past. Oh well...

This is just a very short summary... Want to write more but then work is so busy... haiz. More next time, if I can remember.

The Jung Type Death Note Test

Your Score: ISFP

You scored 90% introversion, 50% intuition, 7% thinking, and 50% judging!

ABOUT THE TEST

This personality test is heavily based on the Kiersey Sorter. In essence, it measures your personality across four variables: Introversion-Extraversion, Intuition-Sensing, Thinking-Feeling and Judging-Percieving. There are both positive and negative attributes to each of the traits.

Introversion-Extraversion: Generally, people who score high on "introversion" are reserved, quiet people who keep to themselves whereas people who score low on "introversion" are outgoing, friendly people who are extraverts.
Intuition-Sensing: People who score high on "intuition" are guided by gut instinct, they go on intuition as opposed to people who score low on this trait, who prefer to rely on established fact and their senses, rather than their own belief.
Thinking-Feeling: People with high scores on "thinking" rely more on their head to make decisions, whereas people who score low on "thinking" rely more on their heart to guide them. (Note: this has no bearing on a person's intelligence level; it merely refers to the way in which they make desicions.)
Judging-Percieving: People who score high "judging" are firm, decisisive people, whereas people who score low on this trait are flexible, accomodating people.
